MEAN WELL ODLV Series 45 Watt CV Power Supply with PWM Output

Description

The ODLV-45 series is a 45 Watt AC/DC LED driver with constant voltage PWM style output. The ODLV operates from 90-295VAC input and offers models with different rated output voltages between 12V and 60VDC. The power supply offers dimming functions that vary the duty cycle of the PWM style output (more on dimming below).  

The Mean Well ODLV is an Isolation class II power unit suitable for LED lighting applications in both wet and dry locations (thanks to the IP67 ingress protection). Mean Well added short circuit protection and a 3-year Warranty, making this an extremely reliable power supply for LED strip lighting and much more.

Dimming

Mean Well added dimming capabilities to the ODLV to provide design flexibility for LED lighting systems. The ODLV offers 2-in-1 dimming which works with 0~10VDC and 10V PWM signal. For LED strip applications we most commonly see customers using the A019/F019 (0-10V wall mount dimmer).

Mounting

The small form-factor of the ODLV series along with the mounting holes on opposite ends ensures that the unit can easily be secured to most surfaces, even when space is limited. This power supply features a fanless design that is extremely efficient at 90%; it can operate from -20 to 85°C under free air convection. However, if your ambient temperature is high and airflow is minimal, there is an auxiliary output (12V/50mA) that can power a small fan to help ensure optimal operating temperatures for both the power supply and LED lights.

Connections & Wires

The input and output connections are 18AWG while the dimming and auxiliary wires are 22AWG. Connections can be conveniently paired however you prefer - wire nut, solder, electrical tape, etc.  For wall outlet applications a 3-prong cord can be hard-wired to this power supply.
