AC Plug-in LED Strip Lights

Description

The convenience of this LED strip is it can be powered from standard household voltage, no need for bulky power supplies or anything else...that is taken care of by a small DC rectifier that is right on the power cord provided with the strip lights. They boast 180 Lumens per foot, making them a very bright and cost-effective option for linear light applications indoors and out; they run at 2.3W/foot giving them an efficacy of 100 Lumens!  The strips come in 9 different custom lengths from short to extremely long lengths and can be easily cut every half-meter. Customers looking for a quick and simple linear lighting solution should take a serious look at the AC 5050 LED Flex strip.

LED Strip Construction

When you purchase a certain length of strip you will receive the length you chose and an attached power cord so as to easily hook up in your house. The strip is in a flexible rubber housing with clear PVC lens, protected by a UV inhibitor so they will not wear from being out in the sun.  The strip is extremely rugged, weatherproof and very sleek at only 9/16" Wide and 1/4" Tall!

Colors

We offer single colors: Warm-White (2700K), Cool-White (5000K), Red, Green and Blue.

Lengths

The custom length options for each color are: 3-feet, 6-feet, 12-feet, 18-feet, 30-feet, 45-feet, 75-feet, 100-feet and a full roll is 150-feet (see table for exact lengths).  You may string multiple lengths together but you cannot run more than 150 feet of the lights!

CUSTOM LENGTHS & JUMPERS: Normally each separate length of strip includes its own AC power cord. However, for when you want to jumper one strip to another, you will need separate lengths, but not additional power-cords. This option is available by buying the total length you need and comment during check-out about what specific lengths, how many you want cut of each (to the closest half-meter length) and which one you want the AC cord attached to.

Linking Connections

End-to-End Connection

Have a gap in your project? Multiple strips may be connected together with jumpers. Need to run around a tight corner? Use the 120V LED Strip Corner connectors. There is also a T-connector for connecting a perpendicular run to your original LED strip. These linking connections help to make the AC5050 Strip lights versatile and user friendly.

Brightness

These AC LED Flex Strips use high-power 5050 Surface Mount Device (SMD) directional LEDs. There are 20 LEDs per foot, spaced very closely about a 1/2-Inch apart, providing up to 180 Lumens per foot. The 120 degree beam angle provides an even light distribution for use in coves, under-cabinets, restaurants, bars, retail displays, up-lighting, reception areas, signage and much more.

Dimming

Mounting Clips

Dimmable from 10-100% with most standard incandescent dimmers, low voltage magnetic and low voltage electronic dimmers.  Minimum loads may apply. You may hook them up to a switched outlet so that you can turn them on and off from there.

Mounting

We include mounting clips with your strip order. Included with each length of strip will be enough clips for one every 3ft. (See image on right). We recognize that 1 clip for a standalone 3ft. section is not enough so with a 3ft. piece there will be 2 clips included.

In addition to mounting with clips we also offer a 3-foot long UV protected straight track, which we do recommend for long linear applications. The track makes installation faster, easier and provides more attractive lighting. If you order the track, the clips do not fit around the track itself and therefore we will not send you the clips with your order. Please use flat head screws or 3M double-side adhesive to mount the track itself.
