3-Up Cree XT-E White 20mm LED Star - Optics Ready™

The PULSAR XT-E White LED Light Engine combines three Cree 3.45 × 3.45mm high-efficacy XT-E emitters on an LEDdynamics thermally optimized 20mm aluminum MCPCB to deliver efficient, high-output white-light performance from a compact platform. Available in multiple CCT and CRI options, PULSAR XT-E is well suited to applications where efficiency, delivered output and proven reliability are priorities. Optional HexaTherm™ technology enhances thermal performance, while the Optics Ready™ platform supports multiple beam distributions for straightforward optical integration.

Description

Silicon carbide-based LED technology has made the Cree XLamp® XT-E LED the highest-performance white LEDs available. The XT-E LED die is inside the popular XP-E packaging, allowing fast and easy replacement of the XP-E.

LED Star MCPCB

We offer two metal core printed circuit board (MCPCB) versions: a single (1-Up: 1 LED) and triple (3-Up: 3 LEDs). The 1-Up is a single XT-E LED reflow soldered to a 20mm hexagonal (LED Star) MCPCB. The MCPCB has four large solder pads for easy solder connections. The 3-Up is three (3) XT-E LEDs reflow soldered in-series to a 20mm hexagonal MCPCB. The 3-Up MCPCB has two solder pads for connections, mounting holes for secondary Carclo optics and a center hole for wires or securing the LED star to a heat sink.

The XT-E LED is offered here in Warm-White (3000K), Cool-White (5000K & 6500K).

Secondary Optics

Both versions of the XT-E (1-Up & 3-Up) are designed to work with secondary optics from Fusion Optix and Carclo; both leaders in molded acrylic (PMMA) and poly-carbonate lens systems. The 1-Up secondary lens system combines a plastic holder and lens that sits on top of the 1-Up MCPCB, while the 3-Up optic is a one-piece system with three legs that sit down into corresponding holes on the 3-Up MCPCB. These secondary optics focus light into narrow, medium, wide and elliptical patterns.
