The INDUS XE-G Color LED Light Engine combines Cree’s compact 1.6 × 2.05mm XE-G emitter with an LEDdynamics thermally optimized aluminum MCPCB to deliver high optical density and precise beam control from a remarkably small source. Choose from 17 color and spectral options, including direct-color and phosphor-converted LEDs, for applications requiring precise wavelength selection, color mixing or spectral control. Optional HexaTherm™ technology enhances thermal performance, while the Optics Ready™ platform supports multiple beam distributions for straightforward optical integration.

Description
XLamp® Element G (XE-G) LEDs are a breakthrough solution for color-mixing lighting applications, offering high light output and full spectral control. With 17 different colors and a variety of white options, lighting manufacturers gain unprecedented flexibility to optimize their product's light output properties. The compact 2.05 x 1.6 mm footprint package includes industry-leading features like a large isolated thermal pad, ESD protection, and minimal spacing between the LED chip and the package edge. The consistent XE-G platform across all colors simplifies design reuse, enabling efficient application in directional lighting, indoor, architectural, entertainment, and aftermarket automotive settings.

LED Star MCPCB
We offer the XE-G LED in two metal core printed circuit board (MCPCB) versions: Indus a single (1-Up: 1 LED) and Pulsar triple (3-Up: 3 LEDs). The 1-Up is a single XE-G LED reflow soldered to a 20mm hexagonal (LED Star) MCPCB. The MCPCB has four large solder pads for easy solder connections. The 3-Up is three (3) XE-G LEDs reflow soldered in-series to a 20mm hexagonal MCPCB. The 3-Up MCPCB has two solder pads for connections, mounting holes for secondary Fusion Optix or Carclo optics and a center hole for wires or securing the LED star to a heat sink.
Correlated Color Temperatures (CCT)
The XE-G LED is offered here in Cool-White (5000K), Neutral-White (4000K) and Warm-White (3000K & 2700K).

Secondary Optics
Both versions (1-Up & 3-Up) of the XE-G White LED are designed to work with secondary optics from Fusion Optix and Carclo. The 1-Up secondary lens system combines a plastic holder and lens that sits on top of the 1-Up MCPCB, while the 3-Up optic is a one-piece system with three legs that sit down into corresponding holes on the 3-Up MCPCB. These secondary optics focus light into narrow, medium, wide and elliptical patterns. For referencing detailed specifications there are tables and downloadable documentation below. Important Note: Unless noted otherwise the specifications listed are for a single XE-G LED. This means that in most cases the values need to be tripled for applications with the 3-Up version. For Example, if the forward voltage listed is 3.15V @ 350mA, then the 3-Up version would be 9.45V.
