Description

The triple (3-Up) Cree XLamp® XP-E2 LED has an identical foot-print (3.45mm square) as the original XP-E, but by using silicone carbide SC3 technology Cree has increased lumen output by more than 20% and doubled the lumens per dollar over the original XP-E. This unprecedented performance includes colors and in most cases the XP-E2 LED is 88% brighter than alternative high-brightness color LEDs.

This triple (3-Up) Cree XP-E2 LED uses three XP-E2 LED emitters re-flowed to a high-quality LUXdrive 20mm metal core Indus Star printed circuit board (MCPCB). The 20mm MCPCB is a electrically isolated standard hexagonal shape board (LED Star) with two solder pads for easy handling and wiring. The combination of XP-E2 LED and MCPCB is compatible with either 20mm secondary optics from Fusion Optix or Carclo and the LED is available in range of colors.
