The Indus XM-L RGBW combines four independently controllable red, green, blue and white channels in a single compact light engine. Cree’s 5 × 5 mm XM-L Color Gen 2 package is mounted on LEDdynamics’ thermally managed 20 mm Indus star board, providing a practical platform for dynamic color, tunable-spectrum and high-output specialty-lighting systems.
Unlike conventional single-color LED stars, each RGBW channel can be driven independently to produce saturated colors, blended colors and usable white light from one compact source. The Optics Ready™ board format supports compatible color-mixing optics for applications requiring controlled beam distribution.

Description
The RGBW, #CREEXML-RGBW, Cree XLamp® XM-L Color LED is a premium multi-color and white LED, providing high lumen output in a small package. Compared to individual Red, Green, Blue LEDs, the XLamp XM-L RGBW reduces the distance between LED die, creating a small optical source for excellent optical control and efficient color mixing. The completed product is the XM-L RGBW LED re-flowed to a 20mm metal core printed circuit board (MCPCB). The 20mm MCPCB is a standard hexagonal shape (LED Star), with eight solder pads for easy wiring. The LED is compatible with Carclo optics, electrically isolated and shaped so multiple LED stars can be packed closely together to increase light output per unit area.
