Description

The new Nichia NCSU334A 280nm UV-C LED is considered the world's highest quality UV-C LED package. Nichia expects this LED, with industry leading output and lifetime, to assist in displacing mercury lamps; currently used for water purification and air sterilization.

Nichia has been able to exceed where others have struggled by leveraging their crystal growth technology; learned from their many years manufacturing UV-A LEDs. The unique crystal growth technology gives this LED a significant boost in lifetime and radiant flux. Additionally, the LED uses a newly developed hermetically-sealed package, making it reliable when used in various harsh environments.

Wavelengths

The deep ultraviolet UV-C LED is 280nm wavelength. UV-C is DANGEROUS. Use EXTREME CAUTION - Protect eyes and skin from exposure.
