Product Details

INDUS™ / Cree XLamp® XP-E2

Three white LEDs. One compact, configurable star.

The INDUS 3-Up XP-E2 combines three series-connected Cree XP-E2 white LEDs with a 20mm aluminum metal-core printed circuit board (MCPCB). Choose your white color temperature, optional HexaTherm™ pad and soldered wire leads, then pair the star with a suitable driver, heatsink and optic for spotlights, task lights, display lighting or OEM fixtures.

Calculated totals for all three LEDs, before secondary optics. TJ = LED junction temperature.

All totals are calculated as 3 × the original per-LED figures, not measured assembly output. The 350mA/85°C column uses the minimum flux-bin values; the 700mA and 1000mA columns use the original calculated minimum values. *25°C figures are for comparison. Actual fixture output depends on junction temperature and optical losses. The listed current flows through all three LEDs in series—it is not multiplied by three.

Thermal interface, wiring & optics.

HexaTherm pad between a 3-Up star board and heatsink

Optional HexaTherm™ pad

A pre-cut thermal interface for the 20mm 3-Up board, with a center opening for wire routing. Choose the pad option or use your own suitable interface.

The pad transfers heat; it does not replace a heatsink. Heatsink shown for illustration.

3-Up wiring options: center-hole leads at left and side-exit leads at right

Optional 6-inch leads

  • No leads: solder your own connections.
  • Side exit: route leads alongside the assembly.
  • Through center hole: route leads behind the board.

Center routing needs mounting-surface clearance. Keep wires out of the thermal contact area, protect insulation from sharp edges, observe polarity and provide strain relief.

Triple elliptical optic fitted over a 3-Up LED star

One optic for three LEDs

A compatible triple optic seats in the board’s mounting holes using integral legs; no separate holder is needed. Choose the beam pattern and check XP-E2 compatibility and wire clearance.

Browse 3-Up optics (sold separately). Elliptical optic shown.

Product specifications

Electrical and mechanical details.

LED / board Three Cree XLamp XP-E2 white LEDs connected in series on a 20mm aluminum MCPCB
CCT / CRI options 2700K and 3000K: 80+ CRI
4000K and 5000K: 75+ CRI
Drive requirement Regulated constant-current LED driver
Maximum drive current 1000mA through the series-connected board, subject to thermal limits and adequate heatsinking
Forward voltage Approximately 8.7V typical at 350mA and 85°C junction temperature, calculated as 3 × 2.9V per LED. Actual voltage varies with current and temperature.
Native viewing angle 110° FWHM (full width at half maximum) per LED, before secondary optics
Emitter size 3.45 × 3.45mm per LED
Thermal resistance 9°C/W typical per LED, junction to solder point; not the thermal resistance of the complete 3-Up assembly
Maximum junction temperature 150°C absolute maximum; not an ambient operating rating
Complete your assembly

Plan the driver, cooling and optics together.

  • Driver: select the intended constant current and an output voltage range that supports all three LEDs in series. At 350mA, each LED carries 350mA; the board does not require 1050mA. Do not connect directly to a fixed-voltage supply.
  • Cooling: mount the star to a suitable heatsink through an appropriate thermal interface before operation. Size cooling for the complete three-LED load, not a single emitter.
  • Optics and housing: allow clearance for the triple optic, solder joints and wire leads. Evaluate the beam in the intended fixture.
  • Dimming: select a driver with a dimming input compatible with your control method.

Driver, heatsink and optic are selected separately. The pad and wire leads are optional configurations chosen when ordering.
