12V Desktop Switching Power Supplies

Description

Since LED lighting uses low voltage, 12VDC power supply adapters are an important part in many lamps and fixtures. These 12VDC switching power supply adapters plug straight into your wall, extending to the switching box that you can place on the floor or hide on top or under a desk or table. This will switch your power to 12VDC and an output wire extends with a 2.1 or 2.5mm male jack that can connect to your source. The power supply comes with a 3-prong power cord to plug into your standard (US) household receptacle.

Manufacturers

You may notice that we have a couple options for some adapters with the same wattage. This is due to different manufacturers. Phihong has quality adapters with added short-circuit and over voltage protection. Check out their data sheets to see the added value in purchasing a MeanWell or Phihong as compared to the generic power supplies available.

Output Connections

All output connections are made with a male 2.1 or 2.5mm plug. We have screw in terminal plugs if you need a female end to hook up to.

Applications

12VDC power supplies are great when using a low voltage driver to run high power LEDs with strings running no more than 12VDC. They also work great with our Flexible LED Strips that take a constant 12VDC. Just check the wattage of your system and make sure you have enough from your power supply.
