Description

Arctic Silver® 5 is a high-density polysynthetic silver thermal compound made with micronized silver, sub-micron zinc oxide, aluminum oxide and boron nitride particles. The combination of silver with these thermally conductive ceramic particles creates a new level of performance and stability. This is perfect for making a wide range of bonds, and acting as a heat conductor between high-power CPU, LEDs and high performance heat sinks

All About the Silver

This compound uses three unique shapes and sizes of pure silver particles. This makes sure to maximize particle-to-particle contact area which significantly helps in thermal transfer. Your LEDs will thank you later!!

Three-Phase Viscosity

Arctic Silver 5 DOES NOT contain Silicone. The suspension fluid used is a unique mixture of advanced polysynthetic oils that work together to provide three distinctive functional phases. When it first comes from the syringe, the consistency is engineered for easy application. During the CPU's initial use, the compound thins to enhance the filling of the microscopic areas not already covered, this ensures the best physical contact between the heatsink and the CPU core. In the next 50-200 hours of use the compound thickens to its final consistency that is more designed for long-term stability.

applying thermal grease

How to Use

  1. Take a needle and poke a hole in the top protective covering of the syringe so that we can apply the grease.
  2. Put a small amount on the heat sink where your LED board will go. Start out small so you aren't wasting the grease, apply more if you need it in the spreading process.
  3. Spread a thin layer of the grease all over the surface that will be covered by the LED board. In the pictures we are using a large LED board so we have a large area to cover.
  4. Once you have a coating of grease over the surface, place your LEDs on, pressing lightly, and let sit.
