LED-based T8 Tubes That Work With Existing Ballasts

EverLED TRTwo days ago Philips Lighting announced availability of the Philips InstantFIT LED T8 product line; a bulb designed with zero installation cost. Six years ago LEDdynamics, Inc. was the first to announce the release of a T8 Tube that worked with an existing electronic ballast – also with zero installation cost. In fact Popular Science Magazine awarded them “Best of 2007 Innovation Award” in the Green Tech category.

Six years later, LEDdynamics is selling and manufacturing two options of their EverLED T8 – the TR version is available with Philips Luxeon LEDs, Nichia LEDs or Cree LEDs; it also has an industry leading 10-year warranty. The VE line uses a Nichia LED that provides significant savings/lumen and comes with a 5-year warranty. In the Philips announcement their bulb comes with a 4-year warranty. We called their distributor for pricing, but reached an answering machine. The EverLED VE is $68.99.

LEDSupply will exclusively carry the US made EverLED T8 Bulb – on our webpage we have both the TR and VE options, all the technical information, along with a robust ROI calculator.
